Top Researchers Present Latest Data on Diet and Cancer at Third Annual Cancer and Nutrition Symposium The Cancer Project will host its third annual Cancer and Nutrition Symposium for health professionals on Saturday, August 16, at the Hyatt Regency in Bethesda, Md. Registered Dietitians (R.D.s) and Dietetic Technicians Registered (D.T.R.s) will be eligible to receive five Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEUs) upon completion of the conference. As emerging evidence shows the complex role of healthy food choices in cancer prevention and survival, top researchers, including John Pierce, Ph.D., of the Women’s Healthy Eating and Living (WHEL) study, and Rowan Chlebowski, M.D., Ph.D., of the Women’s Intervention Nutrition Study (WINS), will join Neal Barnard, M.D., president of The Cancer Project, for a daylong exploration of groundbreaking research on cancer and nutrition.
